NIGHT TIME SKINCARE

Hey y'all! As I said in my morning skincare routine post, I have learned in the past few years to take extra care of my skin as a preventive measure for the future. No matter your age, the quicker you get a set routine (doesn't have to be fancy) the better habits you will build. I look for products that don't break the bank and can be used for different skin types. Bonus if the products are CLEAN. As far as my skin goes, I typically have normal to dry(ish) skin and I struggle with acne and breakouts. Specific to nighttime, retinol is so good for your skin, as well as hyaluronic acid and glycolic acid. Click on any of the products in the picture to shop.

Let's start!!

Same as my morning routine I use the Rodan + Fields UNBLEMISH line. I use the Refining Acne Wash, Clarifying Toner, and Dual Intensive Acne Treatment, these items work best with clearing up my skin and I use all three steps both morning and night.

I like to switch things up, so whenever I wash my face in the shower I use this Glycolic Acid Face Wash Exfoliating Cleanser. It is an exfoliating face wash geared toward acne prone skin but works on all skin types. It actually helps with fine lines, wrinkles, acne - cystic acne to be exact! LOVE, love this stuff a lot; check out the reviews for more testimonies but it's legit.

Another face product I love is the Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Coconut Sugar Facial Scrub Exfoliator. This is another exfoliator so it is not to be used everyday, however this stuff is cheap and makes your skin soft as a baby. Another cheap, legit product definitely worth checking out!

I mentioned this in my morning skincare post, but if your looking to start out with an Acne Treatment I have read amazing reviews and stand by the company Tula. They have three levels of acne treatment based on severity and I am linking it up HERE. Also, I'm linking up Tula's page on AMAZON for super fast shipping.

Serums and Oils!

After my R+F acne treatment steps, I go in with my Vitamin C serum. This product is a more recent find and I have been using it for about a month now. I do believe I have seen results in the overall color, and love the way it makes my skin feel. It also has insane reviews. (reason why I purchased)! Some benefits of Vitamin C serums: hydrating, brightening, reduce redness, even skin tone, fade hyper pigmentation, reduce dark circles, fade scarring. My exact serum is very budget friendly and is actually from Amazon. This serum actually contains Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C as well.

After Vitamin C, I go in with Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil. I talked briefly about this in my morning skincare post, but this stuff has completely transformed my acne scarring and helped with hydration. The benefits include: anti-aging, reducing wrinkles, reducing fine lines, reducing dark spots, brightening skin tone, toning, and plumping the skin. I have gone through multiple bottles of this stuff and gotten all my family hooked on it. For under $10 it is worth checking out for sure I can literally talk about it for forever!! Go check out the Amazon reviews for more testimonies!

For nighttime, I also have the Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops. I included them here because they are an oil, however this is not a product I apply every night, it is an as needed product. You simply mix in these drops with your face moisturizer for the best face tan and its CLEAN. They are available at QVC HERE often on deals and always valid with promo codes (check out the sale tab on my website) or at Sephora HERE.

Next up is moisturizers and night cream!!

After the thinner of my skincare products I will go in with a moisturizer if I feel I need it. Typically I do not apply a moisturizer every night, most of my products I use are hydrating as it is but I will apply a moisturizer right after getting out of the shower so my skin doesn't dry out. If I apply a moisturizer I will go in with the Drunk Elephant Protiniâ„¢ Polypeptide Moisturizer, or the Drunk Elephant Lala Retroâ„¢ Whipped Moisturizer with Ceramides, or the Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya. I went into extensive detail on these in my morning skincare post so I won't bore you again but these are my three favorites.

Now for night cream. I use the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Moisture Rich Night Cream. It is very very hydrating and a new(ish) find that has quickly become a ride or die. This stuff is very inexpensive for a night cream and has Retinol and Antioxidant Vitamin E. The benefits of those vitamin e and retinol alone are enough to make you need a product like this. Once again for the price it is 100% worth a shot. A MUST HAVE!!

Lastly, as-needed products!

I use this Tula Acne Spot Treatment as needed with breakouts after my whole skincare routine. I talked about this in my morning skincare post but it is super simple to use and works better than other more pricey brands. Also available HERE from Amazon.

I am not a super big face mask person, because I typically have allergic reactions to most of them so I steer clear, however I used this Black Peel Off Mask with Brush,Blackhead Remover Charcoal Blackhead Remover and actually really loved it. It has really good reviews which is why I bought it and it actually worked and did a lot better job than the strips do. Also it comes with a mask brush which is genius. Highly recommend for blackheads. Oh side note, I would try to stay to your nose and chin just because it is stronger.

Another add on product I love is a lip mask. I love the Laneige Lip Mask in the jar for super hydration but I also have the tube version. Both are the same formula and can be used day or night. Another night must have is Aquaphor! I cannot live without this stuff for my lips, I use it every single night and it makes a world of a difference and is dirt cheap compared to the other lip masks I use.

Breaking it down, you should always apply your skincare thinnest product to thickest product meaning oils to moisturizer to creams, drying in between each step. Pro tip: I use THIS PORTABLE FAN I saw another influencer use and it is honestly genius for drying skincare or makeup, or actually fanning you. Bonus it is not that insanely pricey for the use you will get out of it and it is charged with a USB charger! The order in which I apply my nighttime skincare is as follows: R+F acne wash, R+F toner, R+F acne treatment, Palmer's oil, Vitamin C serum, Moisturizer, Palmer's night cream, Tula acne spot treatment. Click on any of the products listed above to get a direct link to the complete, in depth description from the brand as well as access to reviews. Also, bonus linking my favorite pink slippers they're so cute and comfy!!
